Who’s Moving? Covid-19 Updates

Moving companies are considered an essential business and therefore can operate. We can still move you.

Although COVID-19 vaccines are being rolled, health precautions are still in place for anyone who needs to relocate their home or office. Who’s Moving? LLC continued to operate as critical businesses and services during the pandemic, and we continue to follow strict processes to safeguard you, the greater community, and our movers.

To protect you and our workers in 2021, we will continue to take the following precautions

  • After each customer move, we commercially sanitize all of our trucks and moving equipment.
  • For each relocation, we provide disposable gloves and hospital-grade hand sanitizer to all of our movers.
  • Providing all COVID 19 updates to the Movers and Foreman.
  • Observing personnel for symptoms daily, including taking their temperature before they start their shift. Suppose any mover exhibits suspected symptoms during their shift. In that case, they and their crew are brought home. They are not permitted to return until they have received a certificate from a medical practitioner indicating that they do not have COVID 19 and have fulfilled the prescribed quarantine to be safe.
  • Implementing social distancing by dividing our staff and allowing non-essential employees to work from home.
  • Ensuring that our office personnel and moving crews are all vaccinated as they become eligible.

Through more significant sanitization of our vehicles and moving equipment, who’s moving? has taken extra precautions to protect the neighborhood, our clients, and our employees. All movers must also wear masks, gloves and wash their hands with hand sanitizer after each relocation. Our movers maintain a distance from the customer throughout the move and respect personal space and any particular demands the customer may have.

Frequently Asked Questions about Moving Services at COVID-19 in Who's Moving
1. Are movers still required to follow state and federal health regulations regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Yes, moving companies are obligated to comply with CDC and NY State health regulations when performing
their fundamental business function of “logistics” and “storage.”

COVID-related procedures should be in place for moving companies. Before you pay a deposit, inquire about your choices for moving safely with the mover.

2. Can I move about properly now that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Shutdown has ended?

The good thing is that you can move around freely, regardless of whether you’re wearing a mask or not.

3. Do buildings and landlords allow movers and moving companies unrestricted access to their properties?

Yes, the few properties that would not let tenants move during the PAUSE have since withdrawn their restrictions. Unless a building-wide infection necessitates access restrictions, there should be no health-related restrictions on a property. When booking your moving slot and servicing elevator, check with your old and new building management teams to ensure no complications.

4. Is it safe for Who’s moving? and Foremen to transport me because they have been tested for Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

We monitor and examine our movers and foreman for indications of the Coronavirus daily at Who’s moving? They have a strong sense of community duty and do not take any chances with public health or their coworkers.

Our crew was allowed to get vaccinated as critical workers in Q1 of 2021 as part of the gradual rollout in the United States, but we remain alert.

Any movers who show or express symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) should stay at home and monitor their symptoms. They are not permitted to return to work.

5. May I inquire as to whether or not my movers have been vaccinated?

While you are free to ask your movers if they have been vaccinated, they are not required to provide any health information under federal law (HIPAA). Who’s moving keeps track of our team’s vaccine spread and makes sure that any new hires schedule their appointments as soon as possible.
